I've never been entirely happy about Mister Determined's blog name. It suits him fine, that's not the problem. But it's a bit cumbersome, and too long to type. I just couldn't come up with the right name.
Today, it came to me.
We've been in and out of the pool, and he absolutely loves it. Water is his natural element, and he feels no fear at all in it. He swims well, does a doggy crawl, and is currently learning decent Aussie Crawl. But his most favorite spot is under the water, he just adores the feeling of being under the water. Most kids hold their head over water when they swim, but not him. And there is the clue to the new name.
The way he swims, with his hands paddling in front of him, and his head under water, the beads of water rolling off his short cropped dark hair - he looks like a seal or a beaver.
And there you have it . Keeping in mind how hard the boy works at everything - Beaver, off course!
I don't' have a picture of him in the pool - so you have to make do with a bath one here for now - but I'll get one and post it, so you can see.
